A while ago, in the same year, I took a newly formatted machine with Windows and I had a problem with the message “Could not find the entry point for the SetDefaultDllDirectories procedure”.

The problem was presented before installing PostMan, but it can occur from what I understand in different situations for Windows users.

This is due to the fact that some versions of Windows (mine in the case of Win7 x64 SP1) do not come with this component installed.

For those who leave automatic updates – I particularly hate this, I install what I want on my PC – they probably won’t have this problem as this is fixed in an update package.

How to solve the problem in Windows?

The package in question is KB2533623, corrects the entry point of the SetDefaultDllDirectories procedure in the dynamic link library KERNER32.dll.

It may seem trivial, but believe in a moment of urgency (as was my case) this can be a problem and there is almost no material available to resolve the case.
